CWVP Group for Mothers

Beginning March 25th and running through April 29th, the Child Witness to Violence Project will be hosting a six week skill-building group for mothers who have a history of trauma and feel that it is affecting their parenting.  The group will meet on Mondays from 4:30pm-6pm.
Participants will:
  • Understand the impact of trauma on parenting
  • Identify and address parenting concerns
  • Learn new skills for managing feelings
  • Learn new ways to recognize and respond to the emotional needs of their children.
Applicants will need to attend an initial screening to determine eligibility. For more information or referrals, please contact Marta Casas at (617) 414-4522 or marta.casas@bmc.org.  The group is free of charge- no medical insurance is required.  We will provide child care and a light dinner will be served.
