Mental Health & Intake Clinician
The Child Witness to Violence Project (CWVP) is seeking a child mental health and intake clinician to join our team. This clinician will oversee incoming referrals as well as provide assessments and treatment to a caseload of young children and caregivers who have been impacted by family violence and other trauma. The position is full time. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children who have been exposed to trauma and/or working with families affected by violence. Additionally, the individual in this position should be committed to developing an anti-racist practice and working with diverse populations.
This position provides a unique opportunity to work with a nationally recognized, leading and innovative program that utilize evidence-based practices to best support children and their families in the wake of traumatic experiences. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the clinician will have opportunities to engage in training and teaching activities at the hospital, as well as to interface with a wide variety of community agencies.

Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries for services, resources, and referrals
- Conducts initial screening for clients seeking services
- Tracks incoming referrals to CWVP
- Provide clinical assessments of young children affected by violence
- Provide on-going individual, dyadic and/or family treatment to a small caseload of children and their families
- Provide outreach and consultation with collateral agencies and providers who are involved with the children seen at CWVP.
Requirements:
- Requires a Master’s level degree in mental health field (social work, psychology, mental health counseling)
- Licensure or license-eligible as social worker or mental health counselor (such as LICSW, LCSW, LMFT or LMHC)
Qualifications:
- Experience in delivering mental health services to children impacted by trauma
- Strong consideration will be given to bilingual candidates, and/or candidates who represent the diverse communities of Boston
The Mental Health and Intake Clinician will be an employee of Boston Medical Center

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children who have been exposed to trauma and/or working with families affected by violence.
